"American Me" the debut ablbum from Dawen showcases his passion for Asian American Identity with intellectually powerful lyrics in a soulful acoustic r&b style. "As a singer-songwriter, Dawen hopes his music will further the dialogue on racism and social injustice in American society." He describes the inspiration of lyrics come from issues which are important to him, encompassing both his Asian and American heritage.
Dawen is halfway through his solo acoustic international "American Me Tour", returning from New York and soon continuing onto Hong Kong and ending in Los Angeles.
