The annual Hot import Nights car show returns to San Mateo, California tomorrow, and is still hot as ever. Stepping into Hot Import nights is like mixing the country's largest automobile modification contest with a nightclub atmosphere. Since its beginnings in the late 1980s/ early 1990s in Southern California, the import car scene has become a huge subculture, dominated by Asian Americans. Whether just a hobby or a career, auto modification is just like any other art form. Just like a canvas is for an artist, the automobile is for the tuner.  link
